Getting back to normal except the weather

In the last few months I have been co0ped-up in my studio waiting for spring to begin.

With the AC Moore stores discombobulated on a weekly basis, not knowing if they wanted to continue art classes or not,  put me in a state of March madness, and I’m not talking about basketball.

Thankfully, AC Moore has decided to continue the classes with a few minor changes and alls well.

I  love the process of creating so much that when it ends, even temporarily, it sends me into a brief tailspin. This dry spell has made me appreciate how much I really missed painting with my friends and students. Tomorrow I have a full class in Hanover, Pa, and I am ecstatic. Now, what is missing is the warm weather and the universe will be back in order.

Pretty gutsy I know but I gotta get these pictures hanging on walls before it's too late. So, feel free to bid. Who knows but that these won't be worth more than the paper (canvas) they're written on someday.

Cherries Again

Latley, I have been fascinated with cherries. Not for their taste but for their beauty.  I paint them, because it is another overlooked beautiful thing.

About daily painters

I have been most curious about a new trend coming from the west coast (what else is new).artist that call themselves, “Daily Painters”.

Daily painting is not only the act of creating art as a full-time practice - it is a discipline that These artists hold to. Most of the artwork is done on a small format, allowing the artist to broaden their subject matter, perhaps quite different than their signature work. In the past several years, This tend has grown to hundreds of artists adopting this practice, creating a lively community of daily painters on the internet. 

I joined a group called Fresh Paint Daily Painters. You have to be juried in, I made the cut as an associate artist. One must be active in blogging, So I have committed myself to be a more active blogger. I hope this helps my chances to be excepted as full Member in the future

Currently, there are many online galleries, discussion groups and workshops all about daily painting. Daily painters ostensibly paint everyday, with occasional breaks taken for research, study, experimenting with techniques as well as the events in everyday life.

Middletown Class:  just received a call  the Middletown Class is on Hold until John Trank, district manager, authorizes the class.  

Barbara, events specialist, will call on Monday, March 14th to verify the class will be held.  My deepest apologies if this class is cancelled due to communication problems.
